Events

Alongside our treatment programs, we regularly organize events that focus on topics around mental health in SWANA, online therapy and psychological work in conflict and post-conflict settings. These events are designed for mental health professionals, researchers, and anyone interested in mental health.

Through webinars, conferences, and workshops, we aim to build bridges between practitioners, researchers, and communities fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Digital Mental Health Conference — Cairo, July 2025

In July 2025, nearly 100 mental health professionals and researchers — 50 on-site in Cairo and 50 joining online — gathered from across the SWANA region for the first-ever regional conference on digital mental health.

In this pioneering event, we brought together a diverse community of practitioners and academics committed to advancing mental health care through digital tools.

From thought-provoking workshops on AI in therapy to moving testimonials from colleagues providing online supervision under threat, the conversations were urgent, eye-opening, and deeply inspiring.

The event underscored one key takeaway: more research and collaboration are needed to understand what truly works — and to shape what comes next.

We hope this momentum will help build a lasting digital mental health network in the region.
